NOIZE OUTERWEAR BRANDING
We made a no-name brand cool — in one season.
We hustled hard to develop a brand identity, ethos and story that would resonate in culture. Guess multi-platinum selling artist A$AP Ferg agreed and wore the neon 3M reflective bomber on in his video “JET LAG”.
Other successes included Miley Cyrus sliding into our DM thanks to our instagram ads, PETA nominating us for Best Vegan Jacket, CAFA nominating us for Outerwear Brand of the Year award, and celebrities like Quest Love stopping by our gifting booth at the Grammys.
BRAND CAMPAIGN
We created NOIZE’s first-ever brand campaign.
“Cruelty-Free” as a USP can only take a brand so far, so we examined it through another lens. To us, “anti-cruelty”, in a broader sense, steps outside of animal abuse in fashion.
So we developed “Care Stories”; a 360 integrated campaign dedicated to spotlighting purpose-driven advocates who carved a space in culture to represent themselves as a result of social intolerance.
In this series, we highlighted three women who haphazardly created a collective and safe space for others to debunk body image, mental illness and ageism.
Their stories translated into three mini-films each highlighting our collective heads in Youtube pre-rolls, sponsored social media posts, editorial spread, newsletters and story-telling on our home page.
The best part? Thanks to us, this little brand got major creative props up there with big brands in the big leagues.
STORY-TELLING
We introduced content streams as a means for entertaining, engaging and educating our fan-base about the brand’s purpose through editorials and multiple social franchises, by using both still imagery and video.
We also redesigned the website for user-experience but also to push product stories.
IDENTITY
Until we strolled in, the only claim NOIZE had was “vegan”. We created the ethos “Outerwear For All Who Care” and its visual identity, and told a tale of democracy, empathy, inclusivity and optimism in content, brand books and product labelling.
PRODUCTS
Until March 2020, NOIZE was a vegan parka brand that only sold products one season of the year. When asked to rebrand the label, we insisted on them introducing new commodities to the brand, not because we’re marketing geniuses (ok, maybe a little), but because we needed to tell a story all year long.
FW19
Not only did we work on merchandising the FW19 collection to create story streams, but we also provided insights on pieces to create. Our focus was, and always had been, expanding the brand in the cultural landscape.
SS20
We insisted on launching a spring collection in the name of story-telling, and even contributed in developing patterns and products.
SUMMER FLEECE & TEES
Outerwear isn’t so necessary in the summer, so in order to keep our product conversation alive, we developed a line of fleece sweatshirts and sweatpants to further hammer home our brand story.
LEMON JELLY X NOIZE COLLAB
The brand needed a marketing coup, so we suggested collaborating with a like-minded brand to expand the product offering, and legitimize our claim in the cruelty-free landscape.
MUTE
We also developed the branding and ethos for a higher-end sister brand, MUTE. The idea: everything opposite. Think slow fashion, ultra-curated, fully avant-garde, and very limited.
